We highly recommend Sora House! This is an excellent NO SMOKING hostel located near Kokusai Street, the main street in Naha City. Naha is the financial and geographical capital of Okinawa and has lots of bars, clubs, izakayas, souvegnier shops, and hotels - it seems like a new one pops up every month.

There are also many Minyo Clubs where you can hear traditional Okinawan music. They are often owned by a famous folk singer who performs a couple of shows every night. People from the audience are also free to come up to the stage and play, and sometimes they are as good as the pros! If you want to see a show with Okinawan music and dance, try one of the dinner shows establishments on Kokusai Dori.
Dorm beds and private rooms are available at this Naha youth hostel, both of which include free linens. Facilties include kitchen, internet, showers, hair dryer, complimentary coffee and tea, washing machine, air conditioner, lounge area, bicycle rental, and a great rooftop courtyard. This very clean hostel also has free WiFi, and there are some musical instruments that guests can play.
There is a small shop in Sora House where you can buy razors, toothbrushes, towels, bread, tea, beer, and awamori (the local fire water). There is also a 24-hour supermarket called Union nearby.
Sora House hostel is located just a very short walk from the Miebashi Monorail station and can easily be reached by taking the monorain from Naha Airport.
Although this youth hostel is a little more expensive than the cheapest ones in Naha, it is well worth the stay, especially if you want to use wireless internet while in Okinawa.
